Dar-e-Nijaat Crosses 1.7 Billion Views, Heads to Arab Audiences
Pakistani drama Dar-e-Nijaat has crossed 1.7 billion views across social media platforms during its airing, becoming the most-viewed Pakistani drama ever while still on air — and the ARY Digital hit is now set to reach Arab audiences with an Arabic premiere on MBC Bollywood on 6 December 2026.
A record set in just 23 episodes
ARY Digital announced the milestone after just 23 episodes, with lead actor Sheheryar Munawar resharing the announcement on Instagram with a simple “Alhamdulillah.” The 1.7 billion figure covers full episodes, clips and edits across social media platforms, according to the channel.
The drama’s latest episodes have kept fans talking, particularly a romantic scene between Abu Bakar and Zaryab that sent social media into a frenzy. Viewership has reportedly extended well beyond Pakistan, drawing audiences in India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
The team behind the hit
Written by acclaimed playwright Umera Ahmed and directed by Saqib Khan, Dar-e-Nijaat is produced by Three’s Entertainment and stars Sheheryar Munawar and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem in the lead roles, alongside Sahar Hashmi, Romaisa Khan, Sania Saeed, Saba Hameed and Nameer Nawaz Khan.
The story follows the life transitions of Zaryab, Zamil and Abu Bakar. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 8pm Pakistan Standard Time on ARY Digital, with episodes also available on the ARY Plus app.
Arabic premiere on MBC Bollywood
MBC Bollywood has already shared an Arabic promo for the drama on its official social channels, confirming the 6 December 2026 premiere. The channel, known mainly for vintage Pakistani hits and Indian cinema, made an exception for the current blockbuster following relentless fan requests from the region.
Arab fans have reacted with excitement online, with many saying they shifted from Indian soap operas to Pakistani productions after discovering the series.
The debate over the numbers
The record claim has also sparked debate among drama fans. Some viewers have questioned how the 1.7 billion figure was calculated, noting that full episodes moved from YouTube to the ARY Plus app, making independent verification difficult. Others argue the drama would have performed even better on open platforms.
Whatever the debate, Dar-e-Nijaat’s run has already made it one of the most talked-about Pakistani dramas of 2026 — and with new episodes still to come and an Arab audience on the way, its viewership story is far from over.
